Eligibility Criteria and Application Requirements for NLNG VIBES 2026
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to apply for VIBES if you meet all of the following criteria:
- Are 25–45 years old at the time of application
- Are an indigene of an NLNG host or pipeline community
- Own and operate a micro or small business (registered or unregistered)
- Are self-employed with your business as your primary source of income
- Have at minimum an SSCE or WASSCE certificate (higher qualifications accepted but not required)
- Your business addresses local challenges with sustainable solutions (competitive advantage)
- Can commit to the 4-week full-time training in Port Harcourt
Required Application Documents
Please prepare clear PDF or photo scans of the following documents:
Valid Identification
Government-issued ID card, international passport, driver's license, or national ID card.
Proof of Age
Birth certificate or affidavit if date of birth is not shown on your identification document.
Proof of Community Origin
Documentation confirming your status as an indigene of an NLNG host or pipeline community.
Business Registration Proof
CAC registration certificate OR evidence of active business operations (receipts, invoices, transaction history, photos of business operations).
Contact Information
Valid phone number, email address, and physical address for communication.
Educational Certificate
SSCE, WASSCE, or higher educational certificates (minimum requirement is SSCE/WASSCE).
Important Note:
Submit all required documents during the application process. Additional documentation may be requested for selected applicants during the verification stage. All documents must be clear, legible, and valid.
Mandatory Declarations
All applicants must agree to the following declarations during the application process:
- I confirm that I am NOT in paid full-time or part-time employment.
- I confirm that my business is my primary source of livelihood.
- I confirm availability for the 4-week full-time training in Port Harcourt.
- I confirm that all information submitted is accurate and verifiable.
- I consent to verification, site visits, and referee checks by NLNG representatives.
- I agree to abide by all programme rules and the Beneficiary Agreement.
- I consent to NLNG data processing in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA).
Application Integrity:
Providing false information or documentation will result in immediate disqualification from the programme and may lead to legal action. All applications undergo rigorous verification processes.
